In the BMZ project SSS covered 2 GP’s Kiralaga & Deogaon covering 18 villages with a population of 4525. The villages in these area are rainfed area and there are no irrigation facilities for second crops in the village. The farmers mainly depend only on rain water and earn their living by cultivating seasonal crops such as Paddy, Pulses and millets in the rainy season which are not sufficient for maintaining their family throughout the year. Villagers many a times demand for irrigation facilities in the Panchayat Gram Sabha but due to the negligence of Govt officials no such facilities were provided to the villagers. That was the time when SSS proposed to the village to make their Micro planning in 2016 under the CPP project. So, in the village assembly the community people decided to construct irrigation facilities with the help of Samajik Seva Sadan.
